yay :D
don't feel like thinking any more about how much i screwed up my exams (or how much fats i gained in the process), and the possible need to retake the A's.
i'm just so relieved it's all over for now! :D
and please, just don't remind me about it :)
there's so so so many things i wanna do now!

i like the mugging sessions with Linda, Serene and a few others we usually study together with (:
haha. they never fail to cheer me up, thanks! ;D
Even though today's session wasnt exactly productive, i had the privellege of being fed meatball noodles by Linda ;D
It was delicious! And i for one do not fancy pork. Put the noodles and meatballs were yummy!
haha, it makes me feel like a glutton! =/
eating so much these days...
Sigh, getting real worried over promos, over many senseless things ):
1 more day to promos, jiayou and work hard everyone!
really hope none of us retain! can't imagine the next year without any of the 3 of you!
We are always walking. Except
"Sometimes we walk alone, Sometimes we walk together." (:
Heard this from a serial my mum watched. Meaningful ;D

MJC does its wonders.
This is the first time i actually studied for exams.
Though it isn't enough, at least i did.
However, the mugging isn't quite done.
Amazingly, i spent the whole September "study break" mugging.
with the usual pple; Linda and her sister Serene, Hong han, Philip, En Chou, Ben and dont remember if there were more.
At least it was rather productive at times (:
Haha, i found this said by Philip really funny, "Welcome to MJC, the best 3 years of your life! (:"
Well, im really very very very afraid of screwing promos, and im afraid i would actually retain...... );
Plus, I started studying late, like monday of the study break.
And, that limited mugging is definitely inadequate =/
Really afraid, daunted and uncertain of what the future holds =/
Guess the stress is really getting at all of us.
Sigh. Thinking of J2 life makes me worried too.
Ah, stop thinking so much man.
As what i imagine Linda would say, just shut up and do your work. Thinking won't get you anywhere.
Oh well. continue mugging everyone!
JIAYOU! (:
Please let me get into the mugging mood again...
And, something random: IM GAINING LOADSA WEIGHT AGAIN!!! ); GRAH.

Life's been busy. very busy indeed. For some 2 1/2 weeks or so a few weeks ago, I didn't even know why I go to school. Sleeping in lectures and tutorials, undone tutorials, unstudied tests, unrevised notes, busy rushing from place to place, and busy trying to escape every teacher's clutch.
Well, just glad that the National Day concert turned out quite alright i guess, though i didnt manage to catch it. Also extremely glad that the E1 cluster trip which was held on the 8th to 10th of August went on rather successfully! (:
Reached school at 6am (earliest time i ever reached MJC so far) on the 8th of August to find myself stuck outside school because the gate was still locked. Left school for Belumut at around 8am by coach.
GroupD instructors! ;DD
Anuja, me, ZhiWei and Farhan
P/S Anuja and ZhiWei is the shortest and tallest person in odac respectively! Cool eh? (:
After a meal at a different eating place from our first trip there, we continued on our journey to Belumut. There was a seat reallocation then, and the four of us ended up at the front.
For the rest of the bus ride, Ivan, Farhan, Kenneth, Mr Eric and me played a few rounds of tai tee (: After a rather lucky game, we moved on to Bridge. The pros then taught me and Mr Eric how to play Bridge. It's damn fun!! Mainly because of the fact that you may not lose even if you have a lousy deck of cards, and you may not win with an imba set of cards. Thats what makes it amazing ;D
finally (: After reaching the entrance, we took a couple of pictures, then walked to base camp and pitched our tents. Eugene gave a briefing, whilst Tammie allocated tasks.
GLs and AGLs supervised the SSS who were pitching their own tents whereas the other instructors pitched the instructor tents.
After pitching, we were allocated tents, dumped our bags in there, and then set off for a jungle surviving skills course by the trainers there. They showed us how they caught/trapped animals for food, how they built makeshift beds in the wild and how they cook in the jungle.
It was enriching too, because there were hands on experience for us. (Though it was a little more cool in Taman Negara probably because of the fact that they are Orang Aslis, and that we get to see their living conditions. Also, there was more time then, for them to teach us how to weave bracelets out of bamboo shavings, have a hands on practice of how to use their darts to shoot a target, teach us how they actually catch the animals, and build the makeshift shelters.)
The difference in the way they catch the animals for food is that in Taman Negara, the Orang aslis coat their handmade darts with a special poison that will only poison the small portion of the animal, around the spot where it was shot. This is so that the poison will not be spread to the rest of the meat. However, in Belumut, they most probably catch smaller animals alive, then continue breeding them till they get bigger in size, before killing it.
This is our trainer who taught groupD,E&F those jungle skills.
On his left is how they heat water using a plastic bag. It's so cool, he told us that plastic won't melt when there's water in it! Cool eh? ;D
On his right is the ambers for cooking eggs, rice etc. See the two bamboo thing standing by the ambers? There are rice inside! Water and rice will be poured into its hollow interior to a proportion of 1:1. Then when the rice gets sticky enough, in that it sticks to the surface of something else, it is ready for consumption (: This is so cool! He even let us sample the cooked rice. It wasn't bad at all, except that the bottom part thats closer to the ambers is softer than the upper part which was rather hard and grainy. The trainer told us that it hasn't been cooked for long enough. But we wanted to sample it ;D Haha.
On his right in the plastic bag is some damp mud which is used to cover the eggs. He demonstrated by taking a very thick layer of mud and wrapping it around the egg and then placing it on the ambers. The main purpose of covering with mud is that it is moist and hence there is some water in it, hence able to cook the egg. Someone (I think it's Ivan) also mentioned that this is also so that the egg will not explode as there is an air bubble in the egg, and the shell is brittle. When it is directly heated, the air bubble expands and the egg will explode. Below his right hand on the ground is the egg in mud he demonstrated for us. Amongst the ambers lie 2 ready cooked eggs which the trainer let us sample. It was DELICIOUS (: I must try this cool method some time..
Haha. anyway, in front of him is a termite nest (in the log). According to him, termites are a good source of protein. He let us sample that too. I didnt really like the thought of eating termites alive. But i'm very proud of Sebby for taking the initiative to try the termites! ;D It's still FOOD to him! Hahaha, as Anuja says, Sebby the Chubby! ;D So cute! Haha. The people who tried the termites said that it was salty..
After the "course" was a RIVER DIP (: followed by dinner. The SSS cooked maggi and canned food. Valarie was so sweet. She kept tending to the maggi all the while when we ate and even served it to us! and maggi dinner was quite yummy actually.
We had a rather long but insightful debrief that night, before going back to our tents to change, wipe ourselves with wet wipes, and pack our daypack for the climb the next day. Anuja and i were a little upset initially, because due to circumstances, i had to be sweeper for the hike. But it was alright without me i guess..
(:
Woke up early the next day for the climb (: Was pleased to see my group being rather punctual. After a breakfast on rations and bread with nutella and tuna, we divided the rations to be put into all their bagpacks, then got ready for the climb. Since Zhiwei and Kynaston were not going to be climbing the mountain, they were tasked with a heavy responsibility of taking care of the passports and valuables. Lol!
After PT, Mr Eric briefed again on the importance of safety and showed us a scorpion that the teachers found.
Scary eh? It was considerably big and freaky...
Anyway, after the guides arrived, we set off in order of groups for the climb.
Bobo, Tammie, Kenneth, Mr Eric and me were the sweepers together with 2 guides as we proceeded with the hike. The pace was great, even faster than our first hike, but the terrain was much drier and less muddy and wet than our first time hiking Belumut.
It was nevertheless fun, and really an enriching experience of being a sweeper and how to motivate the SSS who fell back to join the strawberries. Being a sweeper is relaxing at times when we can rest as and when we like, and chat and take pictures whilst waiting. We also had the benefit of a lot of space as well as being able to enjoy and appreciate the surroundings. However, we had to catch up quite a large distance at other times as well as really motivate and accompany those SSS who were feeling weak and unwell.
It was really a great hike up, and we could chat along the way. (: However, i mostly listened as i didnt know how to speak hokkien. Can only understand it when it is being said. It was fun though. The other 4 sweepers (not inclusive of the 2 guides, because they definitely have to be fit) are thankfully, very fit (: Initially, we were very worried when there was slight rain at the exact same spot where it started raining during our first climb (checkpoint 3). However, the situation was not as bad and hence we were allowed to continue the hike to the real summit this time round! (:
Was really very glad we managed to reach the summit at such good timing too! ;D Managed to take a few pictures before heading down, before it got too late. It was fun during the trek down too! It was not as wet and slippery and it was quite a lot easier than the first time we trekked.
For the very last part of the hike, i was glad to be allowed to join my group, Dynamite! ;D It was indeed enjoyable and heartwarming to see them helping each other, eg Zul holding Valarie's hand and helping by providing support for quite a period of time. Also, Ardy and Sebby were really very good, perservering all the way, and giving their best shot. Shaun, however, kept running away. Rather upset when he didnt really show much concern and help to his weaker group mates, but instead tried to show how fit and "capable" he is. Partly because of his trying to show off, he swung a branch and refused to let go till the branch fell to the ground and pierced Jonathan's hand! It was really freaky and i really pity Jonathan as it was very obvious that the pain was really excruciating, yet he was very strong and did not complain. He didnt even show any sign of pain! Me and Anuja was pleased and touched at him not providing any extra trouble at all. He just continued the hike in pain. According to Farhan, the cut was very deep till his bone cound be seen. Ouch.
After that we went for another RIVER DIP (: and then prepared dinner, and got ready for campfire. Campfire was not that bad, except for the...fake fire? Haha. had debrief again till very late, before we hurried back to our tents for a thankful powder bath. ;D
The last day was basically the unpitching of tents, as well as the coach ride back with the stopover lunch at the previous food place from the first trip! (:
Upon reaching MJC, after settling some logistics, the SSS were dismissed to go home. I'm so glad to be part of DYNAMITE ;D and i will definitely miss the SSS!!!
DYNAMITE ;D cooking and cleaning up.
This was taken on the first day of expedition.
The 4 in orange in the middle are the groupD instructors. Haha, busy trying to eat finish the maggi...
Gerald's prominent "SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT" shirt. Haha. xD
DYNAMITE at checkpoint3 where it started drizzling...
(:
I miss them and the SSS! ):
The river where we had our dip! ;D It was super shiok and it looked nicer than this... xDD
Overall, GREAT experience and i definitely loved it. I learnt a lot too, and it is definitely not (and will never be) a regret (:
I'm missing the SSS already, and im glad at how my group Dynamite improved over the week(s) (: Well deserving of the Most Improved Group! ;DD
Credits of the pictures go to Kenneth for taking it. (:
Havent gotten the other pictures yet, so no summit photo either!
Just wanted to add on, this busy period of time taught me many lessons i would never forget. I also managed to learn from a few great people who taught me various stuff and made major contributions (:

what a week ;D
so far i think my class has gotten back the least no. of papers from mye.
we've only gotten back physics mcq and gp paper2.
both of them sucked horribly man.
results for physics mcq was 7/20 la. didnt feel that bad about it cos i tikumed the last 10 qns due to time constraint. but seeing the lecturers brief about the other qns i feel very scared about the section b and c cos you need to write the definitions and crap word for word which i cant remember if i had done so.
gp paper2's a disaster. i had 2nd lowest in class. 17.5/50 which is so ));
and gp 's very impt leh...i think my kor said if dont pass gp like cannot promote leh.
hais. very^infinity afraid about ... );
and PW. oh man stinky PW's a big headache.
feeling rather ... but dunno how to express it.
no wonder kor hated PW so much.
and i dont blame hh for being pissed.
had farewell bbq ytd.
it was rather enjoyable (:
i'll definitely miss all the seniors man, they're really great seniors!!!
today's duayi's wedding day.
woke up a little late at 7.10am =/
daddy drove his car(the bridal car) to uncle andy's house there at 7.45am so that he can drive to pick up the bridegroom, the bestman etc.
i had a very tough time outting on the contacts again cos my eyes seem to reject the lenses.
rather uncomfortable at times cos it felt a little sticky in my eyes.
i managed to survive the whole day without putting a single eye drop in my eye for the first time ever!
haha cos i forgot to bring the eye drops with me.
and the freaking heels was too high alr. i was practically on tiptoes the whole day la.
what a torture to walk up/down stairs!
mummy drove us and eni to popo house and we reached at ard 8.30am.
and to realise we werent late at all!
ahah then mummy went out again to pick jiu jiu and xiaoyi they all to popo house too.
the person who was supposed to do duayi's hair and make-up got lost and was late.
haha but she made duayi look pretty, so (:
jiu jiu is so pro. he made the kiddies' hair so woah!
ahaha.
then the bridegroom came at ard...10.30?
he kept complaining he was tortured, but in actual fact, i dont think so at all.
he got in EASY man.
he still went to tell kor, "after seeing how i was tortured, do you still want to get married?"
kor didnt really want to reply, he just smiled.
then kor said to me, "he wasnt even tortured at all la. compared to jiujiu, uncle andy, uncle zax they all, uncle meng's was considered nothing"
so true la!
oh and quite many of my long distant relatives came over from malaysia to attend the wedding.
so cool, i rarely/never see them in singapore. ;D
duayi forgot to buy the rose petals for the flowergirls, lol!
so xiaoyi and i went to buy the roses.
so cool, the roses looked so pretty!!!
ahah xiaoyi bought 7 roses for each of the 3 rose baskets.
so it was 7 7 7 again, so cool la! and the date's 070707.
ahah ;D
so cute, yuki kymie and niki were the flowergirls,
sean and xander the pageboys, just nice! ;D
they looked so cute!
however at the bedok luthedral church, i didnt recognize most of the people there.
i saw mr hon who was wearing the red meridian leaders shirt. lol.
the bestman told me abt him in popo house when i said i was from mjc.
the wedding was a very very simple one, and most of our entertainment was derived from xander's actions!
hahaha!
alot more to elaborate about the day but i really need to sleep le cos my eyes are feeling very dry...thanks to contacts la.
anw the food was rather good, lol!
oh and one more thing that was rather funny.
when i joined kor and egg in the church, they were giggling.
then egg told me to look up at the powerpoint slide to see the bridegroom's name.
"Lum Pak Meng"
didnt know what the first 2 words of his name was for at first, so i didnt find it amusing, but my siblings kept giggling.
stupid egg bluffed me to ask mummy what it meant.
and i actually did la =/
then my mum was rather not happy about it, but she still told me what it stood for.
LOL! and she said that when gangsters say it in hokkien, its extremely vulgar.
JOKE LA! haha then when the pastor kept reading out their name, "Lum Pak Meng and Kathy Chia", kor and egg would keep laughing.
i think it was cos it seemed like the pastor had spouted vulgarities.
HAHA!

Annoying, my computer has little/no internet connection these days.
Actually, all the computers at home can’t connect well.
And it had to happen on E-LEARNING days.
I can’t do anything online, the connection keeps going on and off.
Feeling so bored and anxious here, not knowing what to do.
Hence I decided to blog in word first, and transfer it to my blog when there’s a little connection later.
Thank goodness Bobo lent me his Econs and Math notes to copy, or else I really have nothing to show the teachers tomorrow.
And its not that I didn’t try to download those annoying files.
Last night I sat in front of the computer from 9pm to 2am trying to load the lectures, but nothing seems to load.
Seeing that it was so late and that I was supposed to go to school early tomorrow, I decided to let the modem rest while I went to sleep.
Received a message early this morning that the earlier meeting was cancelled, thus I decided to try my luck accessing those lecture series etc.
However, my computer couldn’t even be switched on, there was this funny pattern on the screen and it just refuses to load.
So, I went to the study room to try the other computer.
The good news was that I managed to switch on the computer.
The bad news was that the connection was haywire.
And I couldn’t even click on anything on IVLE, which was in an even worse condition than last night’s.
I spent more than an hour trying to load the website, and after much frustration, all I managed to view was a blank page.
And the loading speed of the web pages was as good as zero.
Thus, feeling extremely irritated, I complained to Bobo who was online as well.
Thankfully, he lent me his notes so at least I would have done something for e-learning.
Anyway, I went to Whitesands at 1pm just now to meet Justin and Kenneth for logistics’ buying of stuff.
There was supposed to be 8 people in logistics, but only the 3 of us were able to turn up.
After reaching NTUC, we realized that today was BYOBD (Bring Your Own Bag Day).
Therefore, we hand carried all the goods to the bus to school.
Luckily we bought garbage bags as well; all we did was to dump the aluminum trays and foil, towel, disposable plates, cups, spoons, forks and serviettes, bamboo skewers, brush, tongs and firestarters into a garbage bag.
Being a girl has its privileges at times like this, because I only had to carry the 3kg box of charcoal, compared to Justin who had to carry the 4kg bag of charcoal and Kenneth who had to carry that garbage bag.
When we entered the ODAC room, we learnt a lesson, which was not to buy extra stuff anymore thinking “We can always stock it in the ODAC room!” because, the ODAC room really has a lot a lot of stuff which all the previous batches must have thought that way too.
And those items left behind didn’t look very clean, so we decided to use the old cleaner utensils first, and put the dirtier utensils into another plastic bag as we might be able to use them for future games.
We also tried to help Justin as he labeled all the shelves.
And we tried to tidy up some shelves while sorting out the items we need for the BBQ.
After cleaning up, Bobo came to join us in the ODAC room after he just bought his grand piano.
Then they decided to play carom. I didn’t know how to play carom at all, so I didn’t join in the first round they played.
Instead, I watched them play while enjoying the full blast of the fan at my face.
But after seeing them play finish the first round, I was tempted to join in the fun.
So I played the next round. It was so fun, and me and Bobo won!
Then we played another round. Me and Bobo almost won, but as a new rule was just implemented that round, we lost by a mere one seed.
Imagine, we were leading 8 seeds to 1, but just could not shoot in the last seed consecutive with the pink one. So Justin and Kenneth managed to catch up and won us by that narrow bit. If not for that rule, we would have won that round long ago!
It was rather an exciting game, and we all had fun playing it!
Then we left for our homes respectively as it was getting late.
Anyway, I am not looking forward to school tomorrow because I will be getting back most of my mid year results and also I haven’t done the required stuff for e-learning.
Hopefully I am lucky tomorrow.
